Bravo!” – Charles Lewton-BrainWhen master goldsmith Alan Revere published Professional Goldsmithing in 1991, he brought traditional European trade education to the US for the first time, adapting it for an American audience. The book was a best seller and quickly became a standard text in the field. To mark the 2oth anniversary of this groundbreaking work, Revere and Brynmorgen Press offer a revised and expanded edition that includes new projects, scores of new photos, and a handsome new layout. What hasn t changed is the precise instruction that makes this edition a fitting testament to its predecessor.About the Author:Alan Revere holds a unique position in the jewelry community, with one foot firmly planted as a master goldsmith and award-winning designer and the other as one of the country s most prominent jewelry educators. After earning degrees in both psychology and sculpture, Revere s passion led him to Germany, where he trained under some of the 20th century s most celebrated goldsmiths and designers. Returning to California with skills rarely taught in the United States, Mr. Revere was asked to share what he had learned with other jewelers and students. In 1979, he founded the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, now one of the country s foremost jewelry training programs. Alan Revere is past president of the American Jewelry Design Council and founder of the Contemporary Jewelry Design Group. In addition to designing and selling thousands of pieces of jewelry, Mr. Revere has created instructional books, articles and videos for jewelry makers. It is no wonder that Alan Revere has been called, A master’s master.360 pages, full color;8.5″ by 11″ inches;hard cover, dust jacket;more than 800 photos. We have many jewelry-making books and DVDs in our Artisan Ideas e-Bay Store. IF YOU ARE PURCHASING MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ABOUT COMBINED SHIPPING!! If you are going to buy more than one item from Artisan Ideas, we will combine them in the same pack to save you money on postage or shipping. ALL YOU NEED TO DO: If you, as a buyer, are not sure how to combine items yourself when placing an order (honestly, it’s not as easy to do as it could be), we will gladly do it for you. Simply order the items you want but do NOT pay for them immediately. We will combine them on the same invoice and send it to you with the correct postage or UPS shipping amount. TELL US BY E-MAIL IF YOU WANT TO USE STANDARD MAIL OR UPS: Standard Mail (aka Media Mail) is more economic but slower, taking sometimes up to 3 weeks, but usually only 2. UPS (domestic orders only) is faster but more expensive. For domestic orders, please tell us your shipping preference by e-mail right after you order (that is, whether you prefer delivery by standard mail or UPS). We recommend UPS for orders you want in 7 business days (sometimes less) and for orders worth more than $120.00. FOREIGN ORDERS: For foreign orders we use either Global Priority Envelopes for small books and DVDs, or Global Priority Boxes for larger books and mixed orders. We will measure and weigh your order to determine if we must ship in an envelope or box. For foreign orders it is not necessary for you to contact us about a shipping preference. Use the same procedure as above; order first and pay after you receive our invoice. Thanks!! CONTACT ME: Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions and also to tell me your shipping preference. I’m Jim, the owner of ArtisanIdeas.
